Shamanic Drones

n the installation “Deus sive natura” by Silvia Scaringella, presented at the 2026 Venice Biennale, the sound of “Shamanic drones”—an original composition by Marco del Bene (MDBK)—intertwines with the marble form of fragile dragonflies as a primal presence, transporting us into a ritual space.

An ancestral prayer invokes the forces of nature and electric fields, accompanying the light forms in flight that emerge from the silence and become suspended notes, transforming the installation into a sensitive organism in which every element appears poised between appearance and dissolution.

Small suspended creatures, traces of an inner migration, a silent movement crossing the boundary between the visible and the invisible, guided by an ancestral vibration, construct a visual score that seems to respond to the vibrations of the music. The altarpiece, studded with these essences, thus becomes a threshold, a resonant point where the visible and the invisible meet, and the continuous sound of a drone becomes a breath capable of extending the work beyond its physical presence and transcending it.
